In order to run KNIME after your download is complete, extract the archive or run the installer and start the executable file (under Windows 'knime.exe', under Linux 'knime', on the Mac 'knime.app'). This version is intended for those who simply want to use KNIME without developing new KNIME nodes. The KNIME Analytics Platform as an Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) application contains everything required to run KNIME but does not include the development extensions.
Below are the executables and source code of previous KNIME versions, which have been made available in three flavors: the KNIME Analytics Platform for use in data analysis with pre-existing/pre-built modules, an Eclipse plug-in that also allows the development of new KNIME nodes using a wizard, and finally an entire Eclipse installation containing the plug-ins required to run KNIME and the node development wizard.
